 The San Rafael Mothers Club Newsletter is clearly the heart of club communication. Many members say that the newsletter by itself is worth the annual membership dues! All current San Rafael Mothers Club members are mailed ten issues each calendar year (December/ January and July/August are both combined issues). The newsletter includes all the details on upcoming speakers, social activities, club and mini-club meetings - and provides contact information for every function within the San Rafael Mothers Club. Each issue also includes informative articles and columns on parenting and related issues (such as child health, pediatric dentistry, etc.) by parents and/or local professionals. We maintain a robust section of "Things to do around the Bay" that includes many children's and family events and activites offered by other organizations around our extended community. This is also the medium where our members to share favorite kid-friendly recipies, craft ideas, book reviews, and parenting experiences - observations or tips and advice. In addition, Mothers club members are able to place free classified ads to communicate to the entire club - advertising anything from services to products, or a need for services, housing, babysitting, etc. Members and non-members alike advertise relevant products and services in our newsletter, so it can be a good place to find many things a parent needs, such as photographers, kiddie music classes, housecleaners, realtors, and much more! Our newsletter is very popular with our families and is a major reason many moms join the club. The newsletter is published in black and white, using professional software and is laid out in a 24 page book format stapled on the left side. Classified Ads We offer simple text-only classified ads (no graphics or business cards). These are only $5 per month for non-members, with a 3-month minimum and are limited to 50 words or less. Members may place classified ads for free. Display Ads Display advertisements of various sizes may be placed for 3 or 6 month periods. Prices, available sizes and orientations are listed below. The deadline for submission of ads and artwork is the 10th of the month prior to publication. (e.g. March 10 deadline for April issue). You will need to submit the completed advertisement artwork via email in a .jpg, .eps or .pdf format. If you need help with advertising design or formatting, we have members who can assist you for reasonable rates. Payment is required by check before we can run the ad. Please note: We combine December/January and July/August newsletters so there are 10 issues in a calendar year.
